Enjoy a stunning evening aboard Hornblower’s three level luxury ship as it cruises San Diego Bay showcasing the inspiring views San Diegans adore. Sip champagne on the upper deck with a loved one while embracing the warm ocean breeze and taking in the breathtaking Bay. Get your heart beating and body jamming to hot mixes on the lower level dance floor. Delight in discovering an ecclectic mix of local bands and comedians on the middle deck who will have you rocking, laughing and remembering what is really important in life…having a good time with your Mother!
This is the most important party of the year! A portion of proceeds will go to supporting San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, San Diego Coastkeepers, and Stay Classy Foundation. All of which are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our local environment and we really appreciate all of their efforts on our behalf!

What Your Ticket Gets You: A three hour luxury cruise on the San Diego Bay, light appetizers, entertainment including one level of dancing with DJ Schugar, another level with live local bands and comedians! A portion of proceeds will support Surfrider, San Diego Coastkeeper and the Stay Classy Foundation, all of which are doing amazing work to support our local environment!
Matt Commerce introduces a new sound that blends acoustic folk/blues music with a tropical twist. His mellow voice and catchy songs create a laid-back atmosphere that has audiences bopping and singing along every time. The North County Times describes Matt’s voice as “warm and instantly comfortable,” and the San Diego reader calls his music “an interesting mixture of styles.” His most recent performances include The Belly Up Tavern, UCSD’s Student Block Party, and a live TV spot on KUSI’s “Good Morning San Diego.” Matt is both honored and very excited to be a part of Earth Bash.
Mary Dolan Cut her teeth in the now prominent San Diego music scene and has established herself as a musical force to be reckoned with. In clubs and coffeehouse alike, Mary’s rich and soulful voice won over diverse audiences and showcased her insatiable work ethic and infectious stage presence. Dolan has collaborated with the likes of Jimmy Crespo (Aerosmith, Rod Steward), Scott Gorham (Richard Marx) and Bernie Taupin (Elton John) to name a few.
Jay Bird Experience the “New” hardest working Artist in the Music Industry today! Talkin’ the talk and walkin’ the walk! No one writes it better….says it better….or performs it better than Hip-hop Sensation, Jaybird! It doesn’t matter what type of venue - he can, and does deliver to the fullest. Whether it’s a small local showcase or being on the same card with a mega-star, Jaybird brings his “A” game to the stage! He’s played from Sea World theme parks in Mission Bay…to The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA doing fund raisers for the Kidney Foundation. Appearing along side the likes of Comedian George Lopez, Kwame Brown of the Lakers, and the Laker Girls to say the least! Exploding and Flourishing over the years with rhymes and witty lyrics, Jaybird quickly began to receive crowd appreciation because of his ability to sing, rap, and dance! Audiences that have had the opportunity to experience this dynamo has agreed that he is the “Real West Coast Yungin”.
Lauren O’Brien Lauren O’Brien will be the Comedy MC for the Earth Bash event and is not afraid to make jokes about your Mother. Earth, that is. Lauren is an up-and-coming comedian in the San Diego area. Originally from New Jersey, Lauren grew up idolizing female comic legends such as Gilda Radner, Ellen DeGeneres and Molly Shannon, while creating her own hilarious and unique material. Since appearing in multiple film & television roles, Lauren currently performs stand-up throughout various venues in Southern California. She also performs with the sketch comedy troupe, The Pearl Street Players, (part of the West Coast Funnies) whose original members include Mad TV’s Bobby Lee, Late Night with Conan O’Brien Emmy award winning writer Michael Koman and Tonight Show frequent guest Shayma Tash.
DJ Schugar is a multifaceted dj, sculpting dance floors with his varying styles, blending music that has been described as organic, minimal, deep, dark and experimental to create a signature sound. Schugar straddles genres and breathes adventure onto the decks, giving every party a life of its own. Interested in every aspect of art, music, life and soul, Schugar pulls inspiration from everything he sees, hears and experiences - from the wind blowing to the grinding of industrial equipment to the thump of a heartbeat. A wealth of artists inspire him, including Richie Hawtin, Osunlade, Dub Taylor, James Brown, Sonic Youth and Cock ESP to name but a few. He currently has residencies at Bar Basic Tuesdays, Modus Operandi Thursdays & Dr. No’s Fantasy @ The Ruby Room.
